"Challenges in Pig Production 2010" was the title of the second seminar tour held in Nanning, Chengdu, Wuhan and Beijing. With more than 180 participants in Nanning, Chengdu and Wuhan as well as 200 participants in Beijing this tour was great success for both MIAVIT and their exclusive Chinese distributor Kinghoo.

Main focus of the presentations given by Dr. Alfons Heseker was how to achieve performance improvement in terms of daily weight gain and feed conversion ratio in piglets and fattening pigs. Immunity as a very important factor and the application of MIAVIT's Circolin® was discussed. Enhancing sow fertility was also one of the topics. It was shown that a lot of management factors as well as nutritional supplements may influence the fertility of a sow herd.
